About Michael Bishop –

Hi, I’m Michael Bishop.
With over a decade of experience training dogs of every breed and temperament, I’m passionate about helping both dogs and their owners build calm, confident partnerships. My unique approach blends science-based methods with the art of dogmanship — and real-world practicality.

I’ve trained over 1,000 dogs start to finish and led more than 3,000 individual training sessions. I’ve also authored two books on dog training, including my signature method — the Egnition™ curriculum. This one-of-a-kind system is designed not just for dog owners, but also for the advancement of trainers, helping them build clarity, consistency, and real-world reliability in their work.

My experience extends to working with 6 different police agencies and sheriff departments, as well as certifying trainers from 9 different countries.
I’ve taught schools and seminars throughout the United States, sharing my balanced, practical approach with both dog owners and fellow professionals.

Certifications & Professional Affiliations:

I’m also a certified IGP helper, a member of PSA, and an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, as well as an AKC Trick Dog Instructor and AKC Urban CGC Instructor.
These certifications reflect my dedication to balanced, humane, and effective training across multiple disciplines.

I’m also former graduate of the NePoPo® Gold and Silver schools, and was Gold Multiplicator Number 38.
However, I am no longer affiliated with that brand, having surrendered all associations as I quickly outgrew its methods and philosophy. My journey continues to evolve, focused on creating honest, reliable, and truly balanced dog training systems.
