I sent my 2.5 year old male GSD for 4 week board & train with Mike because he was having some aggression& general issues such as pulling on lead. I am so thankful for Mike, my dog is very well behaved now. What used to be a daily annoyance is now a fun activity, my dog & I can enjoy taking long walks together with no pulling or reactivity!!! Thanks again Mike, you are the best.
I got my first Malinois in December 2024. I struggled with keeping her focused, her potty training, and holding commands. After entrusting Mike with my girl, not only did he make her do a complete 360 as far as overall quality of life and obedience, he also kept her an extra week no charge. On top of that he is continuing her lessons. I can’t even begin to explain how thankful I am that my wife found Mike. If you have any doubts about taking that leap, trust me, its worth it.
I have attended training sessions with two other trainers in the past, but none have come close to the level of quality and expertise provided by Mike. His approach, knowledge, and ability to engage with people and dogs is truly exceptional. Each session has been not only informative but also enjoyable, making the learning experience far superior to anything I've encountered before.
I struggled to find a dog trainer that listened to my concerns about my dog’s behavior. She’s not aggressive whatsoever, but is highly driven by every distraction known to man (or dog).
With that being said, Mike is a GREAT trainer! He listened to my concerns, and his approach and methods worked very well for my GSD, and he was incredibly patient with teaching me how to build a strong relationship with my dog. I’ve seen so much improvement in her behavior, all within a matter of weeks.
Mike is an extremely thoughtful and talented dog trainer. I am a long time professional dog trainer and picked up a ton of new thought processes while attending a 3 day course with him and another trainer.

You will not find someone who cares more about the well being of a dog or the healthful benefits training can have than Michael .As a professional myself - I highly recommend and respect him for his dedication commitment and integrity in every avenue of his work.He’s is constantly trying to improve not impress - himself and all those around him. I met Mike November 2023 through a friend. I had the opportunity to have him evaluate my dog Venom and also heard a lot of positive feedback about his experience through a handful of other trainers. Nothing but good things and my personal experience was he is a down to earth honest person and was meant to teach and train dogs. He was very professional, kind and honest. If you’re looking to learn from him, train with him, have him train your pet dog, he is as solid as they come.

Michael’s material covers the full spectrum, from pet owners and beginner trainers to advanced trainers. What I’ve personally found is that, much like wholesome food, his delivery is free of unnecessary fillers and avoids overly modified jargon that can sometimes create ambiguity and confusion. I have recommended—and will continue to recommend—his videos to clients, fellow trainers, and canine sport competitors.

Micheal is truly a dedicated person as a dog trainer and at heart too. He has immense knowledge at reading a dog and making course corrections on the fly. His verbal narrations on handing down his teachings are simple, fluid and very palatable to everyone. Great mentor, great coach. I highly recommend him if you want to get into the deeper dog stuff or just want to get better at dog training.
In November 2023, I decided to broaden my horizons and learn more about sport dogs and personal protection dogs. I traveled and learned from that November into 2024, attending different schools. Little did I know that my greatest lesson in this journey would be one of strength, integrity, and personal perseverance. Yes, I learned about sport dog and personal protection training. But the greatest lesson I learned was self-respect, dignity, and a true love of the craft. Not only am I proud to call Michael Bishop a great mentor, but he is also a dear friend. The road was rocky and rough at times, but because of this, we have become friends. Michael Bishop has not only helped me gain a deeper knowledge of dog training and provided continual mentorship with my new dog; he has set an example of true integrity for all to follow.
I can’t say enough positive things about Michael Bishop, to include his meaningful thought process and methods to dog training. As a prior law enforcement K9 handler (now full time professional dog trainer myself), it’s pretty easy to get a solid read right off the bat whether someone has real knowledge/brings unique ways to improve dogs behavior.
